Relevant Project Experience: A clear focus on how you have successfully applied your Databricks and engineering skills within past project environments. Real-World Engineering Impact: Practical, real-world solutions in your past roles—moving beyond theoretical knowledge to show tangible business outcomes. Balanced Skillset: Strong evidence of both high-caliber technical execution and the communication skills necessary to collaborate with business stakeholders. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-native data solutions using Databricks, PySpark, SQL, and Python to support enterprise analytics, AI, and machine learning initiatives. Build and operationalize ML/MLOps workflows, leveraging Lakeflow, Generative AI, and Genie capabilities to deliver intelligent, production-ready solutions. Implement and manage enterprise data governance, security, and data quality standards through Unity Catalog, Data Management, and Data Governance best practices. Collaborate with data scientists, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver modern data platforms that enable advanced analytics, AI-driven insights, and business decision-making. Develop and maintain secure, high-performing data architectures while ensuring scalability, reliability, and compliance across the data lifecycle. Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold the firm’s respectful and courteous work environment. Qualifications: Nice-to-have experience: Azure Data Factory, Kafka, LLMs, Data Science, Data Modeling, Snowflake, and other modern data engineering and AI technologies. Minimum three years of recent experience as a cloud data lake/warehouse architect, designer, developer, data scientist, or AI / ML engineer; preferably Databricks certified Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field from an accredited college/university Hands-on working knowledge of topics such as data security, messaging patterns, ELT, Data wrangling and cloud computing and proficiency in data integration/EAI and DB technologies, sophisticated analytics tools, programming languages or visualization platforms; experience designing solutions on cloud infrastructure and services, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; hands-on technical experience with SQL and Apache Spark Highly analytical and detail oriented Ability to travel when needed KPMG LLP (“KPMG”) seeks a contractor in the United States to provide service to KPMG through one of our contracted employer/agency service providers.
