Design Engineer Intern

YETI is a company that creates high-quality outdoor gear, and it is seeking a Design Engineering Intern for its Food and Beverage Research and Development team. The intern will lead validation testing, ideate new concepts and technologies, develop 3D models, research manufacturing partners, and report testing progress to leadership.

What you'll do:

• Ideation of new concepts and product architectures
• Testing R&D technologies at our off-site innovation center
• Develop 3D, using Solidworks, for new ideas related to R&D
• Research new technologies and manufacturing partners
• Support Design Engineering and R&D as new engineering tasks arise
• Share and present status of testing and progress with leadership

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing B.S. in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics or similar engineering discipline
• (Junior/Third Year Students preferred)
• Proficient in 2D, 3D CAD software (Solidworks preferred)
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• FEA analysis experience preferred
