Design Lead - C, Creo/ProE, Sheet Metal Design (164301)

Job Summary

• BIW Design Engineer developing automotive body-in-white (BIW) structures and sheet metal components using Creo. This position focuses on part and assembly design, packaging, and feasibility, while ensuring manufacturability, quality, and alignment with automotive product development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Good knowledge of BIW (Body-in-White) Design of structural components (e.g. Body Side Panel / Underbody Panels)
• Proficient in CREO – Part & Surface Design and Drawing creation
• Must have strong experience in design of automotive body components like Roof, Floor, Side body outer/inner, etc.
• Must have relevant experience in Master Sections, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle packaging, Concept creation, assembly processes of various parts. 
• Should have knowledge and understanding of Tooling and manufacturing processes, relevant Regulations & Homologation requirement, GD&T, joining processes e.g. Spot welding
• Familiarity with BIW manufacturing processes such as stamping, welding, and assembly
• Incorporate DFM and DFA considerations into designs to improve manufacturability, assembly efficiency, and overall product quality
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align BIW designs with manufacturing processes and OEM design methodologies

Skill Requirements

• Experience working in an automotive engineering or product development environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to design quality and accuracy.
• Good problem-solving skills with the ability to address design and packaging challenges.
• Effective communication skills for presenting design concepts and resolving technical issues.
• Japanese Language Proficiency N4 & above
