About this role

Deutsche Bank is a global financial institution whose Research division provides economic and financial analysis across markets, industries, and sectors. The Company Research & Sales internship supports equity research through financial analysis, investment theses, research publications, client marketing, company due diligence, and related events and conferences.

What you'll do:

  • You will assist asset managers in deciding which stocks to invest in within specific sectors
  • This involves formulation of stock and sector-level investment theses, ongoing authoring and production of written research to promote investment views, and marketing of those views to internal and external clients
  • You will leverage relationships with companies under coverage as part of channel checks and due diligence efforts, while also organizing ad hoc roadshows, client events and conferences
  • Working on our day-to-day business as well as on stand-alone research projects, you will contribute to the development of new ideas for helping our clients achieve their financial goals
  • From day one, you’ll be exposed to real market issues impacting companies
  • You will also contribute to our research publications and be involved in the creation of investment strategies, tools, or models
  • The specific tasks that you deal with will depend on your role within the team

  • We recruit students and graduates who are intelligent and adaptable with excellent communication skills. They have degrees in many different disciplines
  • Have strong writing skills with the ability to articulate thoughts clearly and concisely without proofreading errors
  • Have strong analytical and critical reasoning skills
  • Demonstrate an interest in equity research, investment, and the markets
  • Be proactive, curious, and diligent in completing assignments, with a willingness to learn and take feedback
  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs
  • Complete your studies (all final exams, coursework, and have no outstanding requirements for graduation) between 1st December 2027 and 31st July 2028
  • At this time, Deutsche Bank will only consider applicants who are presently authorized to work for any employer in the United States and who will not require work visa sponsorship from Deutsche Bank, now or in the future, to retain their authorization to work in the United States
  • Have a basic foundation in quantitative skills, including an adept understanding of excel and a foundational understanding of basic accounting principles. Corporate finance and an understanding of modeling is a plus
