Job Description:
The Digital Marketing Strategist executes strategic social media and digital marketing initiatives. This role produces original content across platforms including social media and the Owens.edu website, ensuring brand alignment and effective communication of mission and vision. The position manages in-house and outsourced digital projects, monitors performance metrics, leads organic social strategy, collaborates with cross-functional teams, evaluates and improves digital strategy, and ensures ROI of digital marketing efforts.
Essential Functions:
Develop engaging and visually compelling content for all digital platforms in collaboration with the Strategic Marketing & Communications Team.
Create and curate content to assist in recruitment of prospective students.
Execute strategic digital and brand management campaigns utilizing digital advertising, marketing, social media, and SEO.
Track, analyze, and report on all digital marketing efforts. Recommend on-going content improvements.
Regularly manage Social Media audits on the multiple Owens-related social media accounts.
Create and maintain editorial calendar for social media initiatives.
Serve as in-house expert on emerging social media trends and tools.
Build engagement among target audiences including prospective students, alumni, media, and the public.
Moderate and report online feedback to assist in managing Owens’ brand online.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge
Understanding of higher education enrollment recruitment cycle.
Social media platforms and strategy.
Paid advertising channels and tracking capabilities (including UTM codes).
Digital marketing strategy and web best practices.
Knowledge of current market trends and prospective student behaviors.
Skills
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent project management and organizational skills.
Experience with Microsoft Office and marketing software tools.
Experience Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager.
Experience with Data Studio, Facebook Business Manager, LinkedIn Ads, and social media tools.
Experience in the creation of original social media content, including the development of reels and short videos.
Abilities
Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.

Ability to analyze data and optimize marketing efficiency and ROI.

Minimum Qualifications:
Associate degree and one (1) year of relevant digital marketing experience (including internships or similar experience), or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Two (2) years of digital marketing experience
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., social media marketing, digital marketing, Google Analytics, YouTube)
