Digital Systems Intern - Fall 2026 - SEAL

Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) is a nonprofit applied research division of the Georgia Institute of Technology. They are seeking a Digital Systems Intern to assist Research Engineers in various system engineering tasks, focusing on digital signal processing design, system integration, and testing.

What you'll do:

• Digital signal processing design and simulation with MATLAB
• Digital system implementation with VHDL and FPGA hardware
• Testing and characterization of Digital, Analog, and RF and components and systems
• Developing and executing automated test scripts in NI LabVIEW
• Analyzing measured test data
• Assembling and wiring custom modules and chassis
• Generating schematics and PCB layout
• Developing C/C++ code

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
• 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA
• Full-Time Intern- Must be registered for Full-time Internship Credit
• Part-Time Intern– Must be registered for 6+ credit hours
• US Citizen
• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active security clearance
• Experience in 1 or more programming languages
• Task / team leadership experience
• Strong math skills and ability to learn complex engineering concepts
• Familiarity with Linux and open source tools
• Configuration management tools
• Ability to clearly communicate technical ideas
