Job Description:

The Role

As Director, Digital Transformation, you will be driving a long-standing, key strategic priority for Fidelity. Your focus will be on the capture, maintenance, and usage of digital credentials to eliminate paper, mitigate risk and forward Fidelity’s goal of being a digital leader. As part of this influential and dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to define and lead initiatives with significant business outcomes – from the strategy and planning phase to solution design & execution and ultimately through to organizational readiness and 'go to market' activities. In this high-visibility role, you will leverage data to inform decisions, develop solutions with customer-first mindset, and influence internal stakeholders and clients with clear storytelling and communications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be curious about problems and complexity. Seek to identify and develop creative solutions to opportunities.
  • Be committed to develop and maintain your own expertise and knowledge to bring the best thinking to your role.
  • Own the initiatives from start to finish – from ideation to implementation. Define the ‘what’, ‘why’ and ‘how” for newly identified opportunities.
  • Seek out the voice of the customer and anticipate client and stakeholder needs.
  • Support your decisions and ideas with data-driven, client-informed business cases.
  • Collaborate with internal business partners across technology, risk, compliance, legal, operations and service teams to drive pivotal initiatives.
  • Proactively work with technology delivery teams and other center of excellence leaders to understand and influence prioritization and ensure alignment with established roadmaps.
  • Measure performance & results through established metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • 7-10 years of financial services experience in product / platform management, consulting, or project / program management preferred.
  • Knowledge of the intermediary marketplace (e.g., clearing, custody & family office) a plus.
  • Proven success applying a learning mindset to solve problems – an analytical thinker who asks questions and leverages data to frame opportunities.
  • Established track record of leading complex initiatives across functional lines with measurable business outcomes.
  • Proven organizational navigator and teammate who finds common ground and can gain alignment among senior management, business partners and peers.
  • Strong communication, presentation and influencing skills

The Team

Digital Transformation is a small, dynamic team within Fidelity’s Wealth organization focused on the Institutional Wealth Management Solutions (IWMS) segments (e.g., Custody & Clearing). We have a critical portfolio of initiatives and workstreams that align to one of the firm’s highest priorities - being a digital leader and eliminating our customer’s and Fidelity’s dependency on paper. Our work spans all levels of complexity and requires consistent interaction across the enterprise and Fidelity senior executives. With well-defined objectives, our team will value your creativity, accountability and expertise in helping us to achieve greater and accelerated results.
