About the Role

As the business owner for Posh Live, you will own its operating plan, marketplace health, growth strategy, and execution. You will make day-to-day business decisions across supply, demand, product priorities, programming, and marketplace quality while leading a cross-functional organization spanning Product, Engineering, Marketing, Data, and Operations.

Success in this role is measured by one thing: whether Posh Live grows into a healthy, scalable business.

This is a business-owner role reporting to the Head of Posh Live, with real decision-making authority over how the strategy gets built out in practice - including direct management of the Host Acquisition team. You will lead a broader cross-functional group spanning Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data, set the operating plan and cadence, and be the person accountable when targets are hit or missed. This role is for someone who wants ownership of a growing business line, not just a set of deliverables.

Responsibilities

Business Ownership and Accountability

  • Own the detailed operating plan for Posh Live and be directly accountable for the business metrics that matter - growth, engagement, and marketplace health.

  • Make the day-to-day calls needed to hit targets, escalating only the trade-offs that materially change the strategic direction.

  • Own forecasting and reporting for Posh Live's performance, and make the case for resourcing and investment where needed.

Buyer Experience and Content Strategy

  • Define what a great buyer experience looks like across Posh Live - discovery, watching, and purchasing - and translate that into clear content and programming standards.

  • Own curation criteria and programming decisions for premium/flagship content, and be accountable for how well it reflects that buyer experience bar.

  • Partner with Merchandising and key partners on exclusive inventory and content planning.

Host Acquisition and Marketplace Quality

  • Own the strategy and execution playbook for host acquisition, and directly manage the Host Acquisition team

  • Own the programs, incentives, and quality mechanisms that grow and maintain a healthy base of hosts/sellers, and be accountable for the resulting supply and quality metrics.

  • Own the trade-off between growth in volume and the quality standards that keep the marketplace trustworthy for buyers.

Cross-Product Growth and Discovery

  • Own how Posh Live connects with and reinforces the broader Poshmark experience (search, catalogue, feed), and be accountable for the resulting engagement metrics.

  • Work with Product and Engineering to prioritize the features that most strengthen these connections, making the final call on trade-offs within your remit.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead a cross-functional working group spanning Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Data - setting goals, holding partners accountable, and unblocking execution.

  • • Own the operating cadence for Posh Live — goal-setting, business reviews, and prioritization frameworks.

  • • Define clear roles, responsibilities, and decision rights across partner teams, and be the final decision-maker on the majority of day-to-day trade-offs.

6-Month Accomplishments

Took ownership of the business

  • Stood up a concrete, sequenced operating plan with clear owners, milestones, and metrics - and is running the business against it.

  • Established the operating cadence and reporting rhythm with the Head of Posh Live and cross-functional partners.

Defined and began raising the buyer experience bar

  • Defined a clear point of view on what a great buyer experience looks like on Posh Live, and translated it into concrete content and programming standards.

  • Ran a first cohort of flagship content against these standards.

Defined the host acquisition strategy and got the team executing against it

  • Took on management of the Host Acquisition team, defined a clear execution strategy and playbook, and provided hands-on guidance to run against it.

  • Delivered an early, measurable improvement in sourcing, onboarding, or activation performance tied to the new strategy.

Instrumented and began owning cross-product engagement

  • Defined and began tracking the core cross-product engagement and discovery metrics as owned KPIs.

  • Identified and prioritized 1-2 high-leverage product changes to strengthen these connections.

12+ Month Accomplishments

Scaled host acquisition through a proven strategy

  • Grew host/seller volume through the team's execution of your acquisition strategy and playbook, without degrading quality.

  • Can point to specific strategic and management decisions that drove the result.

Established a differentiated buyer experience

  • Made Posh Live's buyer experience - anchored by flagship content - a recognizable, differentiated draw that sets the standard for the rest of the marketplace.

Proved out cross-product growth loops at scale

  • Showed measurable, sustained traffic and engagement flowing between Posh Live and the rest of the Poshmark experience, with clear accountability for the result.

Built a scalable operating engine and earned expanded ownership

  • Established a repeatable planning and execution cadence that the team can run without heavy day-to-day involvement from the Head of Posh Live.

  • Regularly informed strategic refinements with clear, data-backed recommendations, and expanded scope of ownership as trust was established.

Requirements

  • 6-10+ years of experience in strategy, business/general management, or product/growth roles, with a track record of owning outcomes - not just delivering plans or analyses.

  • Prior experience managing a team (e.g., acquisition, sales, or partnerships) with clear performance targets is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in marketplace, e-commerce, social/live commerce, or content/creator platforms strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to take a strategic direction set by others and run a business against it, making independent calls within a clear mandate.

  • Comfort owning pricing/fee structures, marketplace supply/demand levers, and quality-vs-volume trade-offs.

  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills; comfortable owning KPIs, building forecasts, and being held accountable for hitting them.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functionally and drive accountability without direct reporting authority.

  • Excellent communication skills; comfortable making the case for resourcing and flagging real trade-offs to senior leadership.

  • High ownership and bias to action; comfortable running a business day to day in a fast-moving, still-emerging environment.

  • Prior experience with live shopping, video commerce, or creator economy businesses is a strong plus.
