About this role
The Director, Treasury will lead the design and execution of Pizza Hut’s global treasury function, including liquidity management, capital structure, banking strategy, and financial risk management.
As Pizza Hut transitions to a standalone company, this role will be critical in establishing a right-sized, independent treasury capability, including building processes, governance, and external relationships previously supported through Yum! infrastructure.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can balance strategic financial stewardship with operational execution, ensuring strong cash management, ample liquidity, risk mitigation, and support of business priorities
Treasury Strategy & Standalone Build
- Design and implement the standalone treasury operating model, including policies, processes, systems, and controls previously supported by Yum!
- Establish governance for cash, liquidity, and financial risk management in a standalone environment
- Support Day 1 readiness, including TSA management, bank account transitions, and treasury infrastructure build
Liquidity & Cash Management
- Oversee global cash positioning, forecasting, and liquidity planning
- Optimize cash movement, bank account structures, and funding strategies across markets
- Ensure effective short- and long-term cash forecasting in partnership with FP&A
- Support business needs through efficient cash deployment across entities and geographies
- Manage ongoing global bank account administration, including account openings and closings, signatory maintenance, and periodic account audits
- Support treasury regulatory and banking compliance requirements, including FBAR filings, KYC refreshes, and related documentation management
Banking & External Relationships
- Establish and manage core global banking relationships, including selection, onboarding, and ongoing performance management
- Negotiate and manage banking services, fees, and contracts
- Build appropriate global banking structure (accounts, pooling, access, controls)
Capital Structure, Financing & Treasury Management
- Support development and execution of an optimal capital structure for a standalone Pizza Hut, balancing liquidity, financial flexibility, credit profile, and cost of capital
- Partner with CFO and leadership to evaluate debt capacity, leverage targets, credit facilities, and financing strategies
- Support refinancing, recapitalization, restructuring, and other strategic transaction activities
- Manage treasury activities related to debt capital markets, including debt issuance, portfolio management, covenant compliance, and maturity profile optimization
- Maintain relationships with banking partners, lenders, rating agencies, and external advisors to support efficient access to capital
- Support liquidity planning, cash flow forecasting, and capital allocation decisions
- Develop and execute FX, interest rate, and liquidity risk management strategies aligned with company risk tolerance
- Monitor global financial exposures and implement hedging strategies where appropriate
- Track market conditions and macroeconomic trends to proactively manage financing and treasury risk
Cross-Functional Partnership
- Partner closely with Tax, Controllership, FP&A, Legal, and business teams to support:
- Cash repatriation and entity structure decisions
- Compliance and reporting requirements
- Provide treasury expertise to support broader strategic and operational decisions
Controls, Compliance & Reporting
- Establish appropriate treasury controls and compliance frameworks, including SOX-related processes where required
- Ensure compliance with debt covenants and financing agreements
- Develop reporting for leadership on liquidity, risk exposure, and capital structure
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field
- 10–12+ years of treasury, banking, or corporate finance experience
- Strong experience in cash management, banking relationships, and financial risk management
- Experience with capital structure, debt financing, or capital markets strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to operate in lean or transformation environments, including building or enhancing treasury processes
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modeling capabilities
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and partner cross-functionally
