Dog Play Group Leader

Department Overview:

The Dog Hut is a family-owned business.  We are celebrating our 15 year anniverary this September!  We are 15 minutes from campus and are located 1 mile south of the Beltline at the Hwy 51 exit to McFarland.  We love dogs!

Schedule:

We are need of help for all shifts.  Shifts start at 6:30 am and are 3-6 hours long. The Dog Hut closes at 6 pm.  We are very flexible with our hours.  The afternoon shifts could include handling payments and getting dogs for the parents when they arrive.

No weekends!

We offer flexible hours.

Must have own transportation as bus service is limited.

 

 

Salary/Wage Range:

Hourly $14.00 to $15.00

Position Summary/Job Duties:

Must Love Dogs!  Must be energetic and work with a group of dogs to provide a fun, safe and clean enviroment for dogs to play.

Duties include:

• Supervising both big and small dog play groups
• Interacting with the dogs by talking and playing with them
• Must be able to stand for entire shift and work both inside and outside play areas.  
• Writing fun, positive notes about the dogs for their parents
• Documenting unusual behavior
• Qucikly cleaning dog messes inside and outside
• Helping with cleaning at end of shift
• Working at our front desk to take payments and schedule appointments
• Greeting pups when they arrive and getting pups from play areas for parents when they come to take home. 

Qualifications:

Experience a plus but not required. We will train.

Physical Demands

Must be able to stand for entire shift, able to manage both small and large dogs and work both inside and outside play area.
