DSP (Digital Signal Processing) Software Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Motorola Solutions develops technologies that help protect people, property, and communities. The DSP Software Engineering Intern will help design, implement, test, and debug real-time DSP algorithms and low-level device drivers for wireless communication products in an Agile/Scrum environment.

What you'll do:

• Work in an Agile/Scrum team to analyze, design, implement cutting edge real-time software for DSP algorithms and Low Level device drivers to be used in wireless products
• Teamwork in a multi-site, world-wide development environment
• Finding, tracking, and repairing device software defects
• Create and execute unit, integration, system, load, and acceptance tests

What they're looking for:

• Knowledge of fundamentals of Digital Signal Processing and/or Digital Communication
• Must be pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in one of the following programs : Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering
• Experience in C/C++ is a plus
• Knowledge of Machine Learning is a plus
• Experience with, Matlab, Python, Perl is a plus
• Experience in real-time embedded software is a plus
• Strong communication and problem solving skills is a plus
• Experience using version control; Git is a plus
• Experience with Linux is a plus
• Experience with embedded development/debug tools (such as emulators/JTAG, etc.) is a plus
