Edge AI Field Application Engineer Intern

NXP Semiconductors is seeking an intern to join its Field Applications Engineering team. The role focuses on exploring and prototyping AI and Edge AI applications, developing proof-of-concept demos on NXP platforms, and evaluating AI technologies to improve team productivity.

What you'll do:

• Develop and debug Edge AI applications and proof-of-concept (POC) projects based on NXP processors, AI accelerators, and related software platforms
• Investigate emerging AI technologies, including Generative AI, LLMs, AI agents, and related tools, and evaluate their potential use in team workflows. Explore, prototype, and implement AI-based tools and applications to improve productivity and efficiency within the team

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
• Strong interest in AI technologies, particularly Edge AI. Familiarity with machine learning frameworks, AI models, or AI development tools
• Programming experience and proficiency in C, C++, and/or Python
• Familiarity with Linux and embedded SW/HW development is a plus
• Good problem-solving skills and willingness to explore and learn new technologies is a plus
• Fluent English communication skills in reading, writing, listening, and speaking is a plus
