About this role
Lincoln Electric is an industrial machinery and technology leader providing solutions for welding, cutting, automation, and other manufacturing processes. The Electrical Engineer 2027 Trainee will participate in a 12-month engineering development program focused on product design, development, testing, quality control, research, and safety systems for mobile power solutions.
What you'll do:
- Machine or system design
- Create detailed design specifications, manufacturing instructions, assembly drawings, and testing protocols
- Testing of prototype equipment
- Execute quality control processes to resolve production problems
- Develop new consumables through applied research
- Assist in the design and implementation of safety mechanisms and controls for industrial machinery
What they're looking for:
- Currently pursuing or having achieved a bachelor's degree in engineering (or engineering technology) by June 2027
- Eligible to work in the U.S. on a full-time, permanent basis without sponsorship
- An engineering degree in any of the following disciplines: Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Chemical, Industrial, Material Science, Welding, Packaging, Metallurgy, Computer Science
- Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
- Desire to work in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
