About this role

Oakwell is a real estate and infrastructure firm providing capital, engineering, and project delivery services to hospitals and universities. The Electrical Engineer will produce electrical and low-voltage designs, drawings, calculations, specifications, and models for renovation and new-construction projects, while supporting design development, construction administration, and commissioning.

What you'll do:

  • Develop one-line diagrams and electrical distribution layouts
  • Produce scaled drawings and specifications in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit for the installation and modification of mechanical systems
  • Perform load calculations and demand analyses
  • Size feeders, branch circuits, transformers, generators, and electrical equipment
  • Prepare scopes of work, and sequences of operation to support contractor and vendor pricing
  • Review existing-condition drawings and document facilities and existing MEP systems during site assessments
  • Develop familiarity with and apply the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other applicable codes and standards to electrical system designs
  • Collaborate with facility staff to gather information on plant operations and system deficiencies
  • Support senior engineers through design development, construction administration, and commissioning

What they're looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Should have interest in pursing PE credentials
  • Competency with Microsoft Office required
  • EIT preferred
  • 1-3 years of post-graduation experience, preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit Preferred
