Electrical Engineer - Entry Level

EVS, Inc. is an engineering and surveying company focused on renewable energy and infrastructure projects. The Entry-Level Electrical Engineer will support design drawings, engineering calculations, reports, code compliance, quality control, and cross-functional coordination while developing technical skills through mentorship and training.

What you'll do:

• Assist in creating and revising basic design drawings with guidance
• Perform basic engineering calculations to support design decisions
• Prepare reports, calculations, and deliverables that meet technical standards
• Review personal work for accuracy and contribute to team quality control reviews
• Research and apply state and local design codes and ordinances for compliance
• Learn to apply engineering principles to site designs and critical problem-solving
• Collaborate with senior engineers to gain exposure to project coordination and technical challenges
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams, providing project-specific design criteria as needed

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 0–2 years of experience in electrical design or related engineering discipline
• Basic understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Familiarity with MathCAD or similar tools is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in calculations, drawings, and reports
• Curiosity, initiative, and eagerness to learn new engineering concepts
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or other drafting software
