Danfoss is a company focused on innovation in engineering, and they are seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to support laboratory systems. The intern will gain hands-on experience with electrical controls, instrumentation, and data acquisition systems while working alongside experienced engineers.

What you'll do:

  • Support the design, maintenance, and documentation of laboratory electrical control systems, ensuring drawings and technical records remain accurate and up to date using EPLAN
  • Help configure, troubleshoot, and maintain instrumentation and data acquisition systems that generate the high-quality test data used for engineering decisions
  • Maintain equipment records, calibration schedules, preventive maintenance plans, and spare parts information within the CMMS, helping improve reliability and efficiency
  • Assist with equipment inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs, working closely with engineers, technicians, and controls specialists
  • Contribute to a safe and efficient laboratory environment by following safety, quality, and environmental standards while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

What they're looking for:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
  • Foundational knowledge of electrical control systems, instrumentation, industrial test equipment, and engineering measurements
  • Understanding of analog sensor signals (4-20 mA, 1-5 V), data acquisition concepts, and test system fundamentals
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, learn new technologies quickly, and work effectively in a collaborative engineering environment
  • Available to work onsite, up to 40 hours per week during the summer and 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters
