Electrical Engineer Intern

LayerZero Power Systems provides power distribution solutions for critical industries. The Electrical Engineering Intern will support customer project teams in developing power distribution equipment designs while gaining hands-on experience in engineering operations, project management, cross-functional teamwork, and research and development.

What you'll do:

• Schematic Design: Assist in creating and updating electrical one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, and point-to-point wiring schematics
• Component Selection: Research and specify electrical components such as circuit breakers, relays, contactors, and transformers based on load requirements
• Enclosure Integration: Collaborate with the mechanical team to ensure electrical components fit within sheet metal enclosures while maintaining required clearances and thermal management
• Technical Documentation: Prepare Bill of Materials (BOMs), wire harness worksheets, and assembly documentation for the production floor

What they're looking for:

• Experience with wiring schematics
• Understanding of AC/DC circuits, 3-phase power systems, and control logic
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering
