Electrical Engineer Intern

Thornton Tomasetti applies engineering and scientific principles to solve challenges in the built environment. The Electrical Engineer Intern will support forensic investigations of electrical system failures, damage, and performance issues, including field data collection, system evaluations, technical reporting, and multidisciplinary solution development.

What you'll do:

• Assist in field investigations of electrical systems, documenting conditions, and collecting data for analysis
• Support evaluations of system performance and failure modes using engineering tools and forensic techniques
• Help prepare technical reports and exhibits for clients and legal proceedings
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical solutions for repair or mitigation

What they're looking for:

• Current undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in electrical engineering
• Strong academic record and interest in electrical systems and forensic problem-solving
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, or electrical analysis tools is a plus but not required
