About this role
RTX is an aerospace and defense company developing solutions for complex systems. The Electrical Engineer Intern Co-Op will design, develop, and integrate electrical test systems and products, create circuit designs and test interfaces, troubleshoot technical issues, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
What you'll do:
- Design, develop, and integrate test products for complex systems within a multidisciplinary team
- Create test interface adapters, cabling, schematics, and detailed circuit designs
- Develop engineering and production test systems that align with cost and schedule goals
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues during the development and implementation phases
- Utilize modern equipment including oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and power meters for validation
- Collaborate independently or as part of a team to uncover and resolve test product challenges
What they're looking for:
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) must be obtained by start date
- Knowledge of electrical components including resistors, capacitors, and transistors
- Experience with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers
- Experience with circuit design and analysis for analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, or MATLAB for simulation and automation
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities in a dynamic environment
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities to meet assigned deadlines
- Experience in technical writing and delivering formal presentations
