About this role
Armstrong World Industries is a building products company seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to gain hands-on experience with its products, processes, and testing requirements. The intern will complete an engineering project, troubleshoot electrical manufacturing equipment, support capital engineering projects, and gain exposure to project management and equipment reliability.
What you'll do:
- Completing an assigned engineering project during the term of the internship
- Troubleshooting electrical manufacturing equipment
- Contributing to several ongoing capital engineering projects diverse areas of the plant
- Gaining experience and exposure to the Project Management Life Cycle, including:
- Preparation of project specifications and requirements
- Project schedule coordination and utilization of Project Management tools
- Installation oversight, project closing activities, and sustainability initiatives
What they're looking for:
- Obtaining a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA
- Must be a maximum of 24 months away from graduation
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Outstanding interpersonal skills, team-oriented, and technically savvy
- Previous internship in manufacturing environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated leadership skills
