About this role
Arconic is a provider of aluminum products and architectural solutions for automotive, aerospace, transportation, industrial, and construction markets. The Electrical Engineer Intern will support operational, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance manufacturing performance, reliability, safety, and quality, while collaborating with teams and presenting project results to leadership.
What you'll do:
- Support operational projects and strategic initiatives
- Provide engineering support to maintenance and operations teams
- Troubleshoot equipment and process issues and assist with corrective actions
- Support equipment repairs, rebuilds, and restoration efforts
- Develop and improve maintenance and repair procedures
- Assist with equipment upgrades and process improvements
- Promote quality, safety, environmental stewardship, and operational excellence
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement engineering solutions
- Present project findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership at the conclusion of the internship
What they're looking for:
- * Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- * Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
- * Expected graduation between August 2027 and May 2028
- * Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- * This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. §730, et seq.) and/or the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Authorizations from the relevant government agency may be required to meet export control compliance requirements
- * Interest in manufacturing, automation, controls, industrial systems, or reliability engineering
- * Previous internship, co-op, research, or manufacturing experience
- * Demonstrated success in a team environment
- * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- * Leadership experience through student organizations, extracurricular activities, or community involvement
- * Initiative, curiosity, and a willingness to learn
- * Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
