Electrical Engineer Intern - Substation (West Region)

Black & Veatch is an employee-owned engineering, procurement, consulting, and construction company focused on sustainable infrastructure. The Electrical Engineer Intern will support the Substation functional area by assisting with electrical engineering deliverables, analyses, designs, data evaluation, and project documentation while collaborating with other disciplines.

What you'll do:

• Assist in the development of electrical engineering deliverables like reports, drawings, specifications, and studies
• Assist with the engineering analyses, designs, and report production
• Collaborate with other disciplines and schedule project deliverables
• Organize and evaluate data, utilizing computer modeling to analyze systems
• Organize project materials, references, and documentation

What they're looking for:

• No experience required
• Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Electrical Engineering program
• The intern position is expected to be in the office on a full-time basis
• Relevant coursework or knowledge in Power Systems, Motors, Transformers, Renewable Energy, Power Delivery, or Three Phase Power Calculations
• Understanding of engineering design principles and design guides
• Problem-solving skills, effective written communication, and the ability to build relationships
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
