Electrical Engineer Internship / Co-op

Eaton is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern/Co-op for its ES AMER ARS division. The role supports the design and development of analog and digital electronic circuits, embedded firmware and software, and residential and commercial circuit protection products from project initiation through manufacturing launch. The position also involves product testing, certification, qualification, technology evaluation, and collaboration with cross-functional project teams.

What you'll do:

• Participate in the design of analog and digital circuits, including power supplies, signal conditioning, and microprocessor support circuits
• Support firmware and software developments for embedded systems/micro-controllers
• Support the research and development of business case(s) in new product development cycle to understand viability of proposed products in the marketplace
• Support enhancements of existing products and services based on evaluations of existing and new technologies per Eaton’s strategic plans
• Support the technical evaluations of third-party solutions and assess opportunities to develop partnerships or and new suppliers
• Contribute to domestic and international project teams assigned to research, design, develop, test and/or launch new innovations; ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
• Participate in product certification activities – UL / CSA

What they're looking for:

• Must be actively enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar function from an accredited institution with graduation no later than August 2029
• Minimum of one internship or co-op experience or an equivalent of 3 months work experience completed at the time of this application
