ELECTRICAL ENGINEER SKILLBRIDGE INTERN(PLANT OPERATIONS

Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is the largest industrial employer in Virginia and specializes in designing and building U.S. Navy nuclear aircraft carriers and submarines. The role is an unpaid internship for transitioning active-duty military personnel, focusing on training in electrical engineering through practical projects and mentorship.

What you'll do:

• Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks
• Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree in engineering from an ABET accredited degree
• Active-Duty Military ONLY within final 180 days of active-duty service
• Transitioning Military candidates can begin applying within final 12 months of military service
• Education and Experience dependent on Program of Instruction
