Electrical Engineering Co-op - Hoffman Estates, IL

Siemens Healthineers is a global medical technology company focused on pioneering breakthroughs in healthcare. The Electrical Engineering Co-op will develop low-complexity circuit boards, FPGA designs, test fixtures, firmware, scripts, and engineering tools, while also performing integration testing, defect verification, calibration, and field return analysis.

What you'll do:

• Development of low complexity printed circuit board assemblies, FPGA designs, and test fixtures
• Development of test firmware/scripts for automated testing of assemblies
• Development of engineering tools, databases, websites, and hardware infrastructure needed to support the engineering environment
• Integration testing of new hardware/software releases with thorough documentation of test results and written report summary
• Creation of defect reports and verification of fixes
• Calibration and field return analysis

What they're looking for:

• • You have completed courses in core electrical engineering concepts
• • You have good PC skills (MS Office software like Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)
• • You will be working with our latest technology and therefore you are willing to learn about new software and hardware solutions
• • Willingness to learn new tools and skills related to circuit design, PCB development, FPGA programming and other design methods
• • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program, majoring in Electrical Engineering
• • Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your university
• • Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
• (rising senior preferred)
