Electrical Engineering Co-op - Knoxville, TN

Siemens Healthineers is a global medical technology company focused on creating better patient outcomes and healthcare experiences. The Electrical Engineering Co-op will gain hands-on experience developing circuit board assemblies, FPGA designs, test firmware, engineering tools, and automated testing processes while supporting integration testing, defect resolution, calibration, and field return analysis.

What you'll do:

• Development of low complexity printed circuit board assemblies, FPGA designs, and test fixtures
• Development of test firmware/scripts for automated testing of assemblies
• Development of engineering tools, databases, websites, and hardware infrastructure needed to support the engineering environment
• Integration testing of new hardware/software releases with thorough documentation of test results and written report summary
• Creation of defect reports and verification of fixes
• Calibration and field return analysis

What they're looking for:

• * Education focus in the following areas: signal processing, analog or digital circuit design
• * Working knowledge and use of computer system hardware, operating systems, application software, drivers and peripherals
• * Familiarity with engineering tools and test equipment is considered a plus
• * Experience with FPGA hardware and programming in VHDL is a plus
• * Experience in Microsoft Office products
• * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program, majoring in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science
• (rising senior preferred)
• * Minimum 3.0 GPA (preferred)
• * Registered and eligible to participate in a co-op through your university
