About this role

Jacobs is an engineering and consulting company focused on solving critical challenges across life sciences, infrastructure, and advanced manufacturing. The company is seeking an Electrical Engineering Co-op to support multidisciplinary Advanced Facilities projects through electrical design, coordination with other trades, and progressively complex engineering assignments under professional mentorship.

What you'll do:

  • In this position you will work with a multidisciplinary team taking on Advanced Facilities design tasks such as power system planning, renewable energy, power distribution, energy & power solutions, lighting design, fire and life safety systems, or vertical transportation and construction coordination
  • Under the guidance of professional engineers, architects and other senior technical staff you will provide design services including coordinating with the design of other trades (architectural and engineering)
  • You’ll also take ownership of the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of the work assigned to you by demonstrating the ability to progress from basic design work assignments to more complicated and involved projects working in conjunction with a technical team

What they're looking for:

  • Current enrollment in a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel
  • Authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Local to Cincinnati, OH
  • Basic knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, basic rendering and publishing programs
  • Previous experience working in a corporate engineering environment
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) Certificate or on track to obtain

Benefits:

  • Expert mentorship opportunities to help you thrive in your new career.
  • Hybrid working policy, allowing employees to split their work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations.
