Electrical Engineering Intern

Bollinger Shipyards is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineering Intern for a full-time, on-site summer internship. The intern will support electrical system design and analysis, technical documentation, engineering records, power distribution and control circuit evaluation, and collaboration on engineering projects.

What you'll do:

• Assist the Engineering department by conducting research and preparing technical documentation
• Perform general office tasks with high attention to detail, including organizing reports and maintaining engineering records
• Support electrical system design and analysis, including reviewing schematics, electrical diagrams, and component specifications
• Assist in evaluating power distribution systems, control circuits, and compliance with regulatory standards
• Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and other personnel to support various projects

What they're looking for:

• Education: Currently a junior or senior enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Electrical Engineering
• Technical Skills: Basic proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, a proactive attitude, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
• Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• Experience with AutoCAD, MATLAB, or electrical design software is a plus
