Electrical Engineering Intern

Lighthouse Electric provides electrical construction solutions for complex commercial and industrial projects. The Electrical Engineering Intern will gain hands-on experience by supporting senior engineering leadership with electrical power, lighting, and fire alarm system design, calculations, studies, code analysis, and field investigations.

What you'll do:

• Design of electrical power systems
• Design of electrical lighting systems
• Design of fire alarm systems
• AGI32 lighting calculations
• SKM Power Tools power system studies
• Code analysis
• Daily job tasks
• Field investigation

What they're looking for:

• You are pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering with some focus on Electrical Engineering and/or Power systems
• You enjoy finding solutions to complex problems and have an interest in the electrical construction industry
• You are motivated to learn new software and skills
• You portray a positive attitude and demonstrate professionalism
• The ability to visit and walk jobsites within the Pittsburgh area. Jobsites include those within a 3-hour radius of Pittsburgh
• 8-12 Weeks
• Location: Canonsburg Office (In Office Internship/No Remote)
• Experience with electrical power systems
• Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong leadership and collaboration skills
• Ability to analyze and quickly resolve issues
