Electrical Engineering Intern

Persona AI is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to join their team in Houston, TX and contribute to the development of cutting-edge humanoid robotics systems. The role involves working directly with mechanical and electrical engineering teams on real projects that impact robot development.

What you'll do:

• Support development and validation of custom electronics for humanoid robot power, communication, and actuation systems
• Assist with design and prototyping of robotic systems with a focus on designing cabling and understanding grounding and bonding
• Be involved with the writing, testing, and validating embedded software for the custom electronics that we have produced
• Create technical documentation, drawings, test reports, and design specifications

What they're looking for:

• Currently pursuing, or have obtained, a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field
• A passion for robotics, automation, or electromechanical systems
• Experience with electrical CAD software (ideally KiCAD), prototyping, and hands-on building (coursework, personal projects, student competitions, or hobby work)
• Experience with embedded software development (C, C++, Python, Git tools) and circuit simulation software (LTSpice)
• Strong work ethic and willingness to get hands-on with tools, equipment, and testing
• Collaborative mindset with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Self-motivated with ability to ask good questions and take initiative
