Electrical Engineering Intern - Summer 2027

Core States Group designs, builds, and manages programs and projects across North America. The Electrical Engineering Intern will support EV charging and electrical infrastructure projects through station layouts, electrical design, load calculations, site visits, documentation review, project planning, and multidisciplinary coordination.

What you'll do:

• Assist with EV charging station layouts and electrical infrastructure design
• Support power distribution and electrical load calculations
• Participate in multidisciplinary coordination meetings with civil, architectural, and electrical teams
• Attend site visits and observe construction progress
• Review construction drawings and project documentation
• Learn about utility coordination, permitting, and sustainable infrastructure solutions
• Assist with project planning and design support for EV charging installations
• Gain exposure to emerging technologies and trends within the EV infrastructure industry

What they're looking for:

• Currently enrolled as a junior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• Interested in EV infrastructure, sustainable energy, and electrical systems design
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communicator and collaborative team player
• Eager to learn in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary AEC environment
• This is an onsite position based out of our Somerville, NJ office
