Electrical Engineering Intern Summer 2027

Stanley Black & Decker is a global tool and technology company developing innovative products and solutions. The Electrical Engineering Intern will support electrical engineering design, testing, prototyping, technical analysis, and presentation activities for new product development and cost reduction projects.

What you'll do:

• Performing Electrical Engineering design and testing tasks for new product development and cost reduction projects
• Help prototype electronic and/or mechatronic product concepts related to power tools and related fields, battery and cell studies, wireless connectivity, and jobsite power
• Prepare possible solutions along with decision matrix to assist in choosing technical direction
• Design and construct prototypes creating bill of materials and preliminary cost analysis
• Present results to supervisor and Innovation / Technology leadership

What they're looking for:

• Be a rising junior or senior
• Actively pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science Degree
• Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, circuit analysis, and power electronics
• Successfully manages strong academics alongside extracurricular activities
• Familiarity with embedded systems and firmware development is a plus
