Electrical Engineering Intern (Summer 2027!)

CDM Smith provides engineering and support services for public, federal, and industrial projects. The Electrical Engineering Intern will support electrical engineering teams during Summer 2027 by developing electrical system drawings, performing calculations, assisting with distribution design, and reviewing shop drawings and construction services.

What you'll do:

• Developing drawings for electrical systems (power, controls, communications, fire alarm, and security) using CADD
• Performing electrical calculations using systems analyses software (lighting, load, voltage drop, etc.)
• Assisting in the development of electrical distribution design plans and single line diagrams
• Reviewing shop drawings and assist with general construction services

What they're looking for:

• Currently enrolled and pursuing a Bachelors or Master's in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Electrical Technology or realted discipline with an interest in power systems and/or electrical distribution
