Electrical Engineering Intern - Transmission & Distribution, Network, Integration, & Automation (Conshohocken)

Burns & McDonnell is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern to support its Transmission & Distribution group. The role assists with electrical engineering design, project research, data analysis, documentation, presentations, and resolving project concerns under the guidance of lead engineers.

What you'll do:

• Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and Power Point presentation
• Assist with responses to general questions
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data
• Present solutions to concerns
• Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems
• Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Complies with all policies and standards

What they're looking for:

• Pursuit of a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from a recognized, accredited program required
• Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Demonstrated leadership skills
• Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field
• Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred
• Involvement on campus or in the community preferred
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred
• Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred
