Electrical Firmware (Winter/Spring Co-op)(Onsite)

As an ASIC/FPGA Firmware winter/spring co-op at Collins Aerospace: - Work with video, networking and image processing devices to meet system requirements. - Develop products in accordance with DO-254 DAL A certification and participate in certification activities. - Work on requirements capture, decomposition, and traceability and ASIC/FPGA digital design and/or verification. - Work on RTL coding and simulation in VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog. - Work on ASIC/FPGA verification using inspection, analysis, simulation, and test methods. ## What You Will Learn - Technologies used to maintain world leadership in the avionics industry. - All phases of the hardware product life cycle from requirements through verification while employing company engineering processes to produce high-quality products. - Requirements for product certification required by federal agencies. - How to establish and maintain a computing module platform product line with a broad base of customers. ## Qualifications You Must Have - Must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline and actively enrolled through completion of the internship or co-op session. - Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects. - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program or contract. ## Qualifications We Prefer - Experience with Linux/Unix, scripting, C/C++, Python, and/or Perl. - Experience writing RTL and/or testbenches using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog. - Experience using FPGA simulation and vendor-specific tools such as Questasim, Vivado, or Libero. - Familiarity with best-practice chip-level verification techniques and languages, including constrained random, functional coverage, code coverage, LEC, and SystemVerilog. - Familiarity with UVM or similar constrained random methodology. - Familiarity with revision control concepts and tools such as Subversion and JIRA. ## What We Offer - Values-driven work environment focused on trust, respect, accountability, collaboration, and innovation. - Relocation eligibility. - Potential eligibility for medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
