Winchester Ammunition is seeking a skilled Electrician to support electrical maintenance and manufacturing operations at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant. This position is responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, repairing, and installing electrical systems supporting high-speed automated ammunition manufacturing equipment, facility power distribution, and production operations. The ideal candidate is an experienced industrial electrician who can diagnose complex electrical and control issues while maintaining a strong commitment to safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
Salary:
- Starting Pay: $32.76 per hour with potential to earn up to $37.63 an hour depending on experience.
- Shift: Dayshift and nightshift available. Must be flexible and willing to work weekends and cover overtime as needed.
- Shift Differentials: Weeknight Shifts ($.70 per hour)
- $1,500 sign-on bonus; $750 paid after 90 days and $750 paid after 180 days.

Electrician Essential Functions:
- Troubleshoot, analyze, and correct various operational equipment including PLC's and motor drives with the assistance of laptops, engineering and wiring diagrams.
- Perform routine, emergency and preventative maintenance repair on automated high speed ammunition manufacturing equipment.
- Perform preventative and emergency electrical repairs on various equipment and lighting systems.
- Perform repairs on electrical switchgear equipment and building power distribution systems.
- Runs conduit and electrical wiring to meet NEC requirements and applicable plant standards.
Electrician Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must meet (1) one of the following requirements:
- (2) two years relevant electrician experience; OR,
- (3) three years of relevant full-time experience in factory/manufacturing maintenance or residential/commercial construction with job duties installing electrical components; OR,
- Electrical certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school or vocational school; OR,
- Relevant military maintenance education and/or experience in electronics.
- Basic knowledge of motors (including 3 phase motors), motor controls, precision measurement and diagnostic tools preferred.
- PLC knowledge and motor drive experience preferred.
- Ability to comprehend instructions and carry them out consistently.
- Ability and willingness to work Weekends, including overtime.
Location-Specific Requirements:
- Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a government driver's license.
- This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
- This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls, if required.
- This position requires successful vetting for unescorted access in accordance with U.S. Army and Department of Defense access policies. To meet the government-facility requirements, the candidate must be a US citizen.
