Embedded Software Engineer Student Experience - Spring 2027

Bobcat Company provides student opportunities that combine professional development with hands-on experience in real-world corporate and production projects. The Embedded Software Engineer Student will develop and test embedded software, participate in code reviews and requirements management, and operate equipment while analyzing test data.

What you'll do:

• Develop embedded software, scripts, and internal utilities using C/C++, C#, Python, Qt, and/or Matlab/Simulink
• Create and execute unit, hardware, and on-machine tests to ensure software quality and functionality
• Participate in code reviews, manage requirements, and utilize project tracking systems
• Operate equipment, construct electrical harnesses, log, and analyze test data

What they're looking for:

• + Sophomore, Junior, Senior standing in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, or equivalent
• + Be able to commit full-time to Bobcat for the entire term of the co-op (8 months) or internship (4-months)
• + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• + Communication and collaboration skills
• + Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• + 3.0 or higher GPA preferred
