Emergency Department Student Nurse Tech

• Currently enrolled in an accredited School of Nursing and have completed one (1) semester of a fundamental medical/surgical clinical
• 2  12-hour shifts within 6-weeks
• Preferred Experience: Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Tech, or Student Nurse Tech in a Critical Care setting

The Emergency Department at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital is a full service 8 bed Emergency Department, staffed by Registered Nurses, Patient Care Techs, and Washington University Emergency Medicine Physicians. We meet the needs of our community by serving both pediatric and adult populations.

Role Purpose

Provides multi-skilled, direct patient care, under the direction and supervision of a registered professional nurse. This job requires completion of a foundational nursing skills course or equivalent (fundamentals, foundations, or adult/peds health.
