About this role
Vast is developing next-generation space stations and space infrastructure, including its Haven Station and satellite product line. The Electrical Engineering Intern will receive hands-on experience designing and building space hardware and software, contributing to systems required for human-rated space stations across avionics electrical, avionics test, EMI/EMC, and radio frequency engineering disciplines.
What you'll do:
- Responsibilities will vary depending on each intern’s area of expertise. We are currently looking for candidates with experience in the the following engineering disciplines: Avionics Electrical
- Avionics Test
- EMI/EMC
- Radio Frequency (RF)
What they're looking for:
- Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program from an accredited college or university in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or other related engineering disciplines
- Ability to work full-time onsite in Long Beach, CA
- Application of technical skills outside of the classroom (examples include: extracurricular projects, volunteering, personal projects, laboratory research, or prior internship/work experience)
- Proficiency in Circuit Design Software (e.g., Altium, LT Spice, etc)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a professional team environment
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic startup environment
- Engineering problem solving capabilities
- Self-directed with a positive attitude and team spirit
