Engineer 1 - EDS

The Town of Mount Pleasant is a municipal government organization serving the Mount Pleasant community in South Carolina. It is seeking an Engineer 1 to perform land development review, stormwater management, engineering analysis, and support for capital improvement projects while collaborating with applicants, consultants, design professionals, and Town staff.

What you'll do:

• Performs professional engineering work with an emphasis on land development review, stormwater management, and capital improvement projects
• Reviews development plans, stormwater drainage reports, engineering calculations, and other technical documents
• Performs engineering analyses
• Supports Town capital projects; and
• Works with applicants, design professionals, consultants, and Town staff

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering discipline
• Engineer in Training (EIT) certification with attainment of a South Carolina Professional Engineer (PE) license within four (4) years of the date of hire
• Valid South Carolina driver's license
• Experience or coursework in stormwater management, hydrology, hydraulics, land development, or civil infrastructure
• Experience reviewing engineering plans, calculations, specifications, or technical reports
• Experience with GIS, AutoCAD, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, or related engineering software
