Engineer/Scientist Intern

Ignite Digital is a company that enables national security agencies to accelerate decisions and achieve operational outcomes. They are seeking a motivated Engineer/Scientist Intern to support US Navy Software maintenance, where the intern will assist with research, development, modeling, and systems support tasks that contribute to Navy operational capabilities.

What you'll do:

• Support engineering and scientific tasks related to project requirements
• Assist with development, modeling, analysis, and testing activities
• Conduct research, gather technical data, and help prepare project documentation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support project objectives
• Learn and apply engineering or technical methodologies under guidance from senior staff
• Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation within the effort

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following fields: Engineering, Physics, Network Security, Information Systems, or Computer Science
• At least 90 credit hours completed toward a BS degree in one of the fields listed above with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team environment
• Demonstrated desire to learn and contribute in a technical, mission-focused setting
