About this role
H.B. Fuller is a global adhesives, coatings, and sealants company. The Engineering Intern will support manufacturing operations and engineering initiatives at the Blue Ash facility through process improvement, capital project planning, technical documentation, productivity analysis, and continuous improvement activities. The role collaborates with Engineering, Production, EHS, Facilities, and Site Leadership teams to improve operational excellence, safety, and business performance.
What you'll do:
- Support engineering projects focused on process improvement, productivity enhancements, and operational excellence within a manufacturing facility
- Review, verify, and update Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) through field observations, collaboration with plant personnel, and AutoCAD revisions
- Evaluate opportunities for productivity and cost-savings initiatives by analyzing operational data, KPIs, and project requirements, while assisting with project planning and execution
- Review and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure documentation remains accurate, current, and aligned with site practices and safety requirements
- Partner with Engineering, Production, EHS, and Site Leadership teams to provide project updates, support continuous improvement efforts, and contribute to achieving plant objectives
What they're looking for:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with AutoCAD or technical drawing software is preferred
