Engineering Intern

Wilson Engineers is an Arizona-based engineering firm specializing in water, wastewater, reclaimed water, and electrical infrastructure. The Engineering Intern supports project managers and engineering teams by assisting with project administration, engineering studies, design, technical documentation, quality control, and preparation of drawings and specifications.

What you'll do:

• Reviews schedules and budgets relative to project progress and completion
• Conducts project status review checking accuracy of work completed and monitors timeliness of project completion
• Attends meetings on project management
• Assists Project Managers with any administrative duties concerning the completion of the assigned project
• Maintains project file
• Assists Project Manager in preparation of engineering studies and reports
• Provide technical guidance and training to members of the project team
• Provide project design using sound engineering principles, engineering software, and AutoCAD
• Assists in the preparation of contract documents and technical specifications
• Assists Project Manager in assuring quality control procedures are performed
• Assist in the preparation of project drawings
• Performs necessary code research

• Possess a strong desire for a career working in the Water and Wastewater field (including the design of treatment facilities, collection systems, booster and pump stations, water, reclaimed water, and wastewater master plans)
• Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with the ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history
• Familiarity with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD platforms
