Engineering Intern

ZF Group is seeking an Engineering Intern to support its engineering team at the ZF Axle Drives manufacturing plant in Marysville, Michigan. The role focuses on lab operations, warranty and product failure analysis, engineering projects, logistics coordination, and inventory accuracy for driveline products and manufacturing processes.

What you'll do:

• Ensure the Axle Lab Area is organized & has the necessary resources & tools to perform tasks
• Perform and document detailed analysis of warranty issues and other product failures
• Support the warranty review process related to root cause analysis of failure and corrective actions
• Coordinate product and process engineering tasks or projects at the manufacturing plant level
• Utilize QDM for engineering tasks as assigned
• Locate and move product / containers as needed for drive unit extraction and replacement
• Coordinate with logistics to maintain FIFO and transparency regarding container moves and SAP changes
• Maintain inventory accuracy in road test, teardown, and non-production parts crib

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing Bachelors Degree in Engineering or related field
• Strong computer skills required. Must be proficient in MS-Office Suite, with proficient understanding of MS Excel in Macros and formulas
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Must be self-motivated, with ability to prioritize and accept direction from multiple sources
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills and be able to work in a team environment
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship
