Engineering Intern (Mechanical or Electrical)

Design West Technologies Inc. has served as a trusted partner to the Department of Defense, delivering design engineering and rugged manufacturing solutions. They are seeking a part-time Mechanical Engineering Intern to support engineering, manufacturing, and business projects, gaining hands-on experience in a collaborative environment.

What you'll do:

• Support the design, development, testing, and documentation of electro-mechanical products from concept through production
• Creating CAD models and engineering documentation
• Building and testing prototypes
• Troubleshooting equipment
• Collaborating with Quality Assurance on inspections and continuous improvement activities
• Help prepare bills of materials, production documentation, project schedules, and technical reports
• Working with suppliers and supporting proposal efforts

What they're looking for:

• Pursuing or recent graduate B.S. degree in mechanical, electrical, aerospace or Industrial Engineering
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel
• Attention to detail
• Well organized and ability to compile accurate data
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings
