Escrow Support Specialist

JOB SUMMARY

Accountable for reviewing funds that are prepared for disbursement against invoices, the settlement statement, and other information in ResWare, along with printing the checks that correspond with these disbursements and preparing them for shipping to the proper recipients. This role involves ancillary, disbursement, QC, and shipping functions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Review items awaiting disbursement. This includes comparing disbursement items against supporting documents to ensure accuracy, and reviewing the incoming and outgoing payments in a file to ensure that the ledger is in balance.
• Communicate issues to closers, advising of what is needed to allow funds to be disbursed
• Create checks and prepare disbursed funds for final QC and shipping
• Issue wires to the appropriate payees
• Receipt incoming funds
• Ensure required items are set up to be mailed, delivered, and wired according to instructions
• Work with and support other departments to achieve company goals
• Review final package from funder for accuracy
• Prepare envelopes for shipping and process return mail
• Monitor supplies and to order replenishments as needed
• Deposit Checks (Refund, EMD, Closing Funds)
• Supports other Shared Services teams as applicable
• Other related duties as assigned or requested

• Strong attention to detail, organized, and the ability to multitask
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• The ability to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven, remote-based environment.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Effective problem-solving skills, so you are both proactive and solutions-oriented.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• High School diploma or equivalent
• 2-4 years experience working in a high-touch customer service environment is required
• Experience in the closing industry reviewing HUDs and/or a variety of closing documents is preferred
