Position Summary: The Estimator plays a crucial role for overseeing the process of accurately estimating the cost, time, materials, labor and equipment required for a project. The Estimator coordinates with the internal and external stakeholders to identify and understand project needs in the planning and scheduling procedures, and prepares the necessary documentation.  

The Blueprint for Success - Key Responsibilities: 

• Assess and analyze blueprints, plans, and other project documents to prepare cost estimates. C
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, production times, and location.
• Collaborate with team members, engineers, architects, contractors, and suppliers to ensure comprehensive cost estimation.
• Utilize software for data analysis, forecasting,and budgeting.
• Prepare detailed reports or bids for management, clients, or project teams in a timely fashion. Attend pre-bid meetings.
• Research and stay informed of the up-to-date industry trends and advancements.
• Coordinate with team members on work progress and cost reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company standards and procedures in all estimates and bids.
• Present and explain estimates to clients and stakeholders, answering questions and addressing concerns.
• Review and monitor project schedules and timelines to ensure they align with cost projections.
• Participate if needed in assisting team members in all aspects of the estimating process
• Additional duties as needed

Education and Experience:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field or experience  
• Minimum of three years of experience.
• Proven track record of delivering successful projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster collaboration among team members.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Math and problem solving are critical. 

Preferred: 

• A valid certification, like Certified Professional Estimator (CPE)
• Experience with estimator software
• Construction and/or manufacturing experience
