Event Ticketing & Financial Analyst (Seasonal)

Major League Baseball (MLB) is looking for an Event Ticketing & Financial Analyst in the Global Operations & Events department to manage essential financial operations. The analyst will oversee financial reporting for events, support ticketing programs, and provide administrative support for MLB jewel events.

What you'll do:

• Build patron accounts, fulfill and distribute ticket inventory using internal ticketing programs, the Requestix system, and the Ballpark App
• Manage month-end reporting, create Microsoft Excel pivot tables, prepare financial reconciliations, and handle billing/invoicing for internal departments and external groups accurately and timely
• Oversee the compilation of financial documents and reporting for Global Events, including budget forecasting items for the Finance department
• Deliver high-level customer service and troubleshoot ticketing issues for internal employees regarding both business and personal ticket requests
• Assist with the daily operations of the Employee Ticket and Today's Tickets programs, while providing ad-hoc administrative and operational support for MLB jewel events

What they're looking for:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of one to three years relevant work experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Professional demeanor, self-starter, organized with a strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical skills, technical accounting proficiency, effective problem-solving skills and strong ability to interpret accounting information/reports
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to work independently as well as with a team
• Flexibility to work irregular hours on game days and weekends as needed
• Experience with ticketing programs such as Archtics or ProVenue is highly preferred, but not required
