The Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking an Events Logistics Coordinator 2 to help maintain the Capitol Complex while ensuring public events are successfully executed from start to finish. • Technical Event Operations: Setup, operate, and troubleshot event lighting, sound, and other technical systems while serving as the primary on-site operations representative
  • Customer Service: Work directly with clients, elected and appointed officials, dignitaries, vendors, and the public to provide professional support and respond to event-related needs with tact and diplomacy
  • Maintenance: Identify when work is needed; perform, oversee, and assist with carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, groundskeeping, and other general, preventative, and seasonal maintenance to minimize disruptions and extend the life of facilities, furniture, and equipment
  • Equipment Operations: Safely operate hand and power tools, lifts, ladders, scaffolding, snow removal tools, and other specialized maintenance equipment
  • Emergency Response: Respond during emergencies, office closings, and special events to support facility operations, communicate through established emergency procedures, and help maintain safe conditions for employees and visitors
