Responsibilities - What you’ll do
EXAMPLES OF WORK
- Provide administrative support to the Executive Director, Deputy Director, and the Missouri Veterans Commission
- Triage and coordinate highly sensitive information, sharing it with those with a business-related need-to-know
- Monitor status and progress of tasks, projects, and events for Commission
- Manage Sunshine Requests, fiscal notes, legislative updates, action reports, open meeting postings, and Missouri Ethics Commission filings
- Develop, generate, receive, prioritize, and/or track correspondence ensuring appropriate action is taken within set timeframes
- Maintain the calendar for the Executive Director and ensures the Executive Director has all necessary information for meetings
- Coordinates workflow and establish office protocols to ensure the Commission's business needs are met
- Make travel arrangements for the Executive Director and Commissioners and prepares expense reports as needed
- Provide support for Commission meetings, such as arranging room, preparing materials, acquiring audio/visual equipment/services
- Supervise administrative support staff
Qualifications - All you need for success
- One or more years of experience as administrative support and/or one or more years of post-secondary education demonstrating the following:
- Knowledge of the Sunshine Law
- Principles of office management
- Application and interpretation of federal, state, and/or agency regulations, policies, and procedures
- Establishment and maintenance of working relations with elected state government officials, managers, peers, and the public
